- U.S. lmports: According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Automotive Industry Action Group, in 2024 the U.S. imported an estimated $350 billion in Automotive & Aerospace products to include vehicles, parts, and aerospace components.
- Harmonized Tariff Schedule: ‘‘Automotive’’ to consist of merchandise classified under headings 8701 through 8711, 8713, 8714, and 8716, HTSUS. ‘‘Aerospace’’ to consist of merchandise classified under headings 8801 through 8805, HTSUS. And, ‘‘other transportation equipment and related parts’’ to consist of merchandise classified under headings 4011 through 4013, 8406 through 8412, 8511, 8512, 8601 through 8609, 8901 through 8908, HTSUS.
- West Virginia’s Industry: According the West Virginia Development Office and Automotive Industry Action Group, in 2024 West Virginia produced an estimated $1 billion in automative and aerospace products.
